Step by Step Guide & Tips

TrueCeramicPro Infrared Ionic Styler
Welcome to an exciting new world of professional hairstyling at home using your TrueCeramicPro! The following easy to follow instructions will teach you to create a variety of popular hairstyles using the TrueCeramicPro and hopefully inspire you to invent a few of your own. Please refer to the instructional DVD -Versatile Styles: Step by Step - to watch actual demonstrations of these and many other professional hairstyling techniques.

First...the basics!

1. Turn the power switch to the on position.
NOTE: For your protection, this styling tool is equipped with a safety plug. Press the reset button if the iron has no power when turned on.

2. Always start your TrueCeramicPro at the lowest temperature setting (140 ° F) and gradually increase heat only as necessary for your personal hair type and texture. Lower heat settings are recommended for fine, chemically treated or damaged hair while higher heat settings may work best for coarse, healthy hair types or for ethnic hair.

3. When the red indicator light begins to flash, the iron has reached the selected temperature - do not use the iron until the red light starts blinking in order to ensure consistent heat. NOTE : When the light is a solid red, the iron is heating up; when the light goes dark, the iron is cooling down.

4. Comb out a small section of dry hair from the root.

5. Apply the iron to one section at a time. (When straightening, slowly glide the iron down each section of hair - you should only need to make one pass.)

6. Always remember to turn the power switch to the off position and unplug it when finished using the TrueCeramicPro.

Say goodbye to bad hair days forever!

TrueCeramicPro Styling Tips

HOW TO STRAIGHTEN:
STEP 1 Clip up excess hair from top of head so you can start styling the underneath layers first and then move to the upper layers.

STEP 2 Comb out one section of dry hair (approximately 2' wide).

STEP 3 Slowly glide the TrueCeramicPro over each section from hair root to the ends without stopping.

BONUS STYLING TIP!
•  You can easily add a flip with a twist of your wrist! For an inward flip, start turning your wrist downward as you near the hair ends; for an outward flip, turn your wrist upward. A fast turn of the wrist will create a tighter flip while turning your wrist more slowly will create a softer flip.

HOW TO ADD VOLUME:
STEP 1 Take diagonal sections of dry hair (approximately 2' wide) from the root and slowly glide the TrueCeramicPro from the root in an upward direction.

STEP 2 As you reach the end of each section, slowly twist your wrist inward to help create a rounded, fuller shape.

HOW TO ADD FLIPS:
STEP 1 Create small section of dry hair (approximately 2' wide)

STEP 2 Slowly slide iron down the section from hair root to ends.

STEP 3 For an outward flip, twist wrist upward as you near the ends.

STEP 4 For an inward flip, twist wrist downward as you near the ends.

BONUS STYLING TIP!
•  A fast turn of the wrist will create a tight flip while turning your wrist slowly will create just a slight flip.

Amazing Results!

CREATING BIG CURLS:
STEP 1 For big barrel curls, comb out a section of dry hair (width varies depending on size of curl desired) and gently clamp the iron a few inches from the scalp (do NOT close the iron completely).

STEP 2 Twist your wrist so the iron is upside down and pull the rest of the section over the top of the iron.

STEP 3 Continue turning the iron in the same direction while simultaneously pulling the iron downward until the ends of the hair have passed through the plates creating a big, bouncy curl.

•  STYLING TIP: When attempting a curly style for the first time, try practicing the technique while your TrueCeramicPro is off and cool to the touch. Once you are comfortable making the necessary wrist movement, turn on your TrueCeramicPro and style with confidence!

CREATING SMALL CURLS:
STEP 1 For small pin curls or ringlets, comb out a small section of dry hair (1/4' - 1/2' wide) and then wrap it around your finger.

STEP 2 Gently slide your finger out keeping the hair ends on the inside of the curl.

STEP 3 Carefully clamp the circular section with the iron for a few seconds and release to create a cute ringlet.

CREATING SPIRALS:
STEP 1 Comb out a small section of dry hair (1/2' - 2' wide) and wrap it around a household item such as a large wooden cooking chopstick or the handle of a wooden spoon.

•  STYLING TIP : Different widths provide different looks so be sure to experiment!

STEP 2 Slowly pass the iron over the wrapped section of hair from root to ends 3 times, making sure to heat all sides.

STEP 3 Carefully pull out the wooden tool to reveal a beautiful spiral curl. Run your fingers through the curl if you want to soften the effect.
